Dr. Monawwar Jahan is a seasoned academician and administrator with over 30 years of dedicated service to Patna University and with decade-plus administrative leadership experience as the:
- Head of the Department of Education, Patna University (2026-present),
- Principal of Women’s Training College, Patna University (2006 to 2011 & 2019 to 2026),
- IGNOU Program In-Charge (2008 to 2011),
- NSS Program In-Charge (2005 to 2008, 2009 to 2011 & 2019 to 2023) &
- Hostel Superintendent of the Mother Teresa Minority Girl’s Hostel, Patna University (2011 to 2015).
She has served two terms as a Member of the Syndicate Patna University (2007 to 2008 & 2025 to 2026), as a Member of the Senate Patna University (2006 to 2011 & 2019-present) and seven years as a Member of the Syndicate Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University (2008 to 2015).
She has extensive experience as an Expert and Member of various committees across State Universities (Patna, Magadh, Patliputra, MMHA&PU, Purnea & LNMU).
She earned her M.A. from A.M.U. Aligarh in 1984; M.Ed. from Patna University in 1990 & awarded Ph.D. from Magadh University in 2003 & from Patna University in 2007.
She has authored two books. Contributed chapters in three books. Published 26 research articles in various National and International Journals. Presented papers at various National and International Seminars and Conferences. Guided 11 doctoral theses and presently guiding 4 doctoral theses. Served as Resource Person in several Teachers’ Training Programs.
Her areas of Interest are Philosophy of Education, Language Teaching, Teacher Education & Women Education.

Dr. Mukta Mani

Dr. Mukta Mani has a Ph.D. in Education from Patna University, Patna. She has been awarded UGC NET-JRF (Education) and holds a degree in M.Sc. (Zoology), and M.A. (Psychology). She has also done PGDHE and PGDEMA. Dr. Mani has been awarded with the ICSSR Post Doctoral Fellowship in Education in 2022.
She has almost 15 years of experience in teaching, teacher training and research at the teacher education level in different colleges across the State. She has been actively involved in Curriculum development, and research and has a keen interest in areas such as marginalised sections of society, gender issues, and the use of technology in education. Her areas of specialization are- Educational Psychology, Curriculum Studies, Evaluation and Measurement, Education Technology, Educational Management and Administration, and Research.
Dr. Mani has also made academic contributions to journals and books and published 18 papers in various reputed journals, presented more than 20 papers in seminars/conferences, and has also authored a book titled, “Inculcating Values through Textbooks”.
Dr. Md. A. Rahman Ansari

Dr. Md. A. Rahman Ansari joined the Department of Education, Patna University,Patna as Asst. professor in February 2026.
He has got his Masters in Urdu, Persian and Education from Patna University. He has got his PhD in Education from Patna University. His PhD work is on the protective discrimination and social mobility of OBCs in Bihar. He also taught at the Postgraduate Department of Education, Patna University earlier for five years. He worked as the Principal, Al-Hasan Teacher Training College, Dalsingh Sarai for over 15 years. He has more than 20 years of experience in educational administration, teaching and research. He mainly teaches sociology and philosophy of education, teacher education and comparative education and pedagogy of Urdu, and Persian languages. He has published nearly a dozens of articles in indian research jounals and presented papers in national level seminars and conferences.

He has a Ph. D in Education from patna university, Patna. He holds Masters in Physics, Education, Psychology &English. He has qualified NET in Education and Psychology. He has published thirteen papers in Indian research journals and presented nineteen papers in national and International seminars.
He was awarded scout & Guide puraskar by the Governor of Bihar & Patna university physics scholarship by Madhava Maharupi Trust. He has achieved NCC ‘C’ certificate in Grade ‘A’ (Indian Air Force ).
His areas of teaching and research cover Inclusive Education, special Education,Methods of physical sciences and Mathematics, value Education, Guidance & counselling.
Bibha Kumari

She has a Ph.D. in Education from Sri Satya University, M.P, Sheore. She has received M.A. (Education) and M.A. (Sociology) from Nalanda Open University, Patna and M. Ed. from Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalya, Jabalpur (M.P). She has been awarded UGC-NET (Education). She has almost 5 years of experience in teaching in the Department of Education and 3 years experience in B.Ed. College. Her areas of specialization are-Teacher Education, Innovative Teaching- Learning, Value Education, Educational Management and Administration.
She is also contributing as Counselor in IGNOU. She has also made contributions to published papers and presented papers in seminars/conference.
Ankita Vishal

Mrs. Ankita Vishal is pursuing Ph.D from Usha Martin University, Ranchi. She has completed Master of Education(M.Ed) from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan and Msc (Physics) from Magadh University, Gaya. She has qualified UGC NET(Education)in December 2014 and July 2015. She teaches paper on Historical /Political and Economic Perspective of Education, Sociological and Philosophical Perspective of Education, Teacher Education -Issues and Challenges, Curriculum Pedagogy in Assessment, Policy, Economics and Planning.
