Former Principal at Women’s Training College Patna University & Presently Posted at Dept of Education, Patna University. She teaches Educational Psychology, Innovative Teaching Learning and Research Methodology. She has guided three PhDs under her guidance and supervision. She has one minor project sponsored by UGC . She has written a book “Microteaching-Practice & Technique” (Shipra Publication, N.Delhi.) widely used in teacher training programmes. She has conducted workshops on microteaching for school teachers and at orientation programmes for college teachers. She has a number of papers published in different journals.

Prof. (Dr.) LALIT KUMAR, Professor of education, is Head, Department of Education, Dean, Faculty of Education and former Principal, Patna Training College [Faculty of Education, PU, Patna. He is serving the cause of education for thirty years as a Teacher Educator. He joined Patna University on 18.11.1996. His field of specialization is Research Methodology, Distance Education, Educational Technology, Measurement and Evaluation, Educational Psychology, Higher Education, Methods of Science and Mathematics etc. In 2014 Patna University has facilitated him with the Certificate of Excellence for his service as a Teacher. His paper was awarded as the best paper in an International conference organized by IATE in 2000. Indian Psychological Association (IPA) has facilitated him with Gold Medal twice in the year 2014 and 2019. He has supervised M.Ed. dissertations of more than 125 students, 12 students have got their Ph. D. Degree awarded under his supervision, he has standardised 03 research tools, has presented more than 45 papers in seminar/conferences, has attended around 30 workshops as participants and resource person, he has got more than 100 papers published, he has contributed in many edited books, he has organised seminars, has edited books and journals. He has chaired many sessions of national seminars, has judged at many state level fairs and competitions, he is the member of many professional and academic bodies/ organizations, has also developed around 21 units for distance education programmes of courses like B.Ed., M.Ed., M.A. (Education), M.A.(Sociology), etc. He has been the member of selection committee for the selection of head/ principal & faculty members for B.Ed. and M.Ed. progammes. He has delivered more than 100 lectures in RC&OC Programmes of ASC, PU, Patna besides around three dozen special lectures at state and national level. He is the past and present member of Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, Examination Board, Moderation Board, Post Graduate Research Council etc. of Patna University. He is contributing as a Counsellor and Resource Person to the organisations like IGNOU, NOU, SCERT Patna and many others. He did M.Sc. [Mathematics], M.Ed. (BHU), Ph.D. [Education]. He has also obtained MADE, PGDDE and PGDHE degrees from IGNOU and is a NET in Education [1990]. His papers can be read and downloaded from academia.edu. Khagendra Kumar

Khagendra Kumar has got his Master’s, MPhil, and Ph.D. in Education from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He was awarded UGC Junior and Senior Research Fellowships for M.Phil. and Ph.D. studies respectively. He taught in the Dept. of Education, University of Delhi for a brief period. He has been teaching in the Faculty of Education, Patna University for the last 25 years.
He mainly works in the area of new social movements, decentralization of school management & policies, social issues of science & education, RTE, Common School System, Issues of Protective discrimination, and School & Teacher Education. He has been working on such issues for over 25 years as an activist and academician both.
He has authored four books namely- Understanding People’s Science Movement, Panchayatvad: satta aur Shiksha (in Hindi), Common School System: Examining the First Initiative in India (New Delhi: Prakashan Sansthan, 2008), and Bihar Mein Shiksha ke Sau Varsha (in Hindi) (coauthored)(Patna: Bihar Vidhan Parishad, 2012). He also published three edited books, Common School System and Right to Education (2014), Challenges of Education in India (2017), and Implementation of Right to Education in Bihar (2018). He has also published 47 papers in national and international journals.
Khagendra Kumar has presented a large number of papers in national and international seminars. He has delivered several invited formal lectures on issues like Common School System Initiative in Bihar, RTE, Issues of Development, Learning for Sustainable development, Science and Its Popularization, People’s Science Movement in India, Environmental movements in India, Open and Online education at various forums in Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, Haryana, Odisha, Delhi, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh & other states.
He is the editor of a biannual online peer-reviewed journal ‘People’s Dialogue on Education’ published by Politic Foundation (www.politicindia.com). The journal is being published since 2008. He is also the chief editor of Politic India Media & Research. He has been on the editorial board of the Journal ‘Teacher Education’ published by AIATE for several years. He is on the editorial board of the Patna University Journal. He is also on the editorial board of two other journals published by two autonomous colleges of Bihar -St. Xavier’s College of Education, Patna & Patna Women’s College, Patna. He has the credit to organize half a dozen national as well international seminars on various issues of Education.
He held the office of General Secretary of IATE, the oldest and largest association of Teacher Educators in India during 2008-2010. He has been on various authorities of the Patna University like Academic Council, Syndicate, and Senate and member of many statutory and non-statutory committees of the Patna University. He is on the governing body of Patna Women’s College and a member of the Academic Council and Board of Studies of some universities and autonomous institutions of Bihar & Jharkhand.
He headed the Postgraduate Dept. of Education, Patna University twice during 2005-08 and 2017- 2020 and served as Dean, Faculty of Education, Patna University twice during 2012- 2014 & 2016-2018. He also served as the Principal of Patna Training College, Patna University during 2011- 2017. Currently, he is also working as Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Patna University, and Liaison Officer of Patna University.

Dr. Md. Wasay Zafar is M.Ed. (Gold Medallist) from A.M.U., Aligarh and Ph.D. in Education from Patna University, Patna. He is teaching in the Faculty of Education, Patna University since 1996. He teaches Philosophy of Education, Methodology of Educational Research and Educational Measurement & Evaluation. He also has specializations in CurriculumPlanning & Development, and Educational Planning & Finance besides Science Education and Guidance & Counselling.His interest areasof research are Philosophy of Education particularly Islamic Philosophy of Education,Educational Measurement & Evaluation, and Value Education.

Prakash Ranjan Jha

Mr. Prakash Ranjan Jha has got his master’s in geography and Hindi from department of geography, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga and Indira Gandhi National Open Central University, New Delhi, respectively.
He is also B.Ed from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and master’s in education (M.Ed) from Doctor Hari Singh Gour Central University, M.P. He has qualified UGC-NET in Education in January 2018. Subsequently, he qualified UGC-NET in Geography in NTA exam, 2019. Currently he is doing Ph.D in education from Aryabhatt knowledge university (AKU), Bihar.
He is academic counselor of B.ED Course at Ignou Regional Center in Patna. He has published a paper in UGC Approved journal and is in the process of publishing another paper soon. He is also involved in writing a reference book on Teacher Education in the guidance of his senior Teachers of the department.
He teaches papers on ‘Relevance of Teacher Education in Changing times’, ’Teacher education-Issues and Challenges’, ‘Curriculum Studies’, ‘Creativity And Value Education’, ‘Educational technology and ICT’. Ms. Aarti Kumari has done M.Ed. from Patna University in 2014, Master of Arts (Sociology) from Nalanda Open University in 2015, Master of Arts (Hindi) from IGNOU in 2017. She has qualified UGC-NET (Education) in 2014 and 2015.Besides this she has qualified UGC-NET JRF (Education) in 2017.Currently she is pursuing Ph.D. in Education from Patna University. She teaches historical, political & economic perspectives of Education, Teacher Education- Issue and Challenges, curriculum studies , creativity and value Education, Educational Technology and ICT.
